I finally sat down and edited a few more photos of the Autumn Cruise last night. I’ve also been trying to decide where/how I want to shoot photos of vinyl. What I thought would work in our house hasn’t been going well so I constantly have to change my ideas and locations. I’m not digging on that too much. It’s becoming really frustrating to move all the gear and setup materials over and over.

We’re back with another wonderful, colorful, sunny Autumn Cruise held in Upper Sandusky, OH. This year’s event took place on September 24. What started as an overcast, grey day turned into a hot, sunny and overall great summer day. Naners and I rode the bike while following Jason (Kustom Persuasion) and his family to the show. We also stopped off at a grain depot to check out their operation as it was their 100th anniversary. Good country stuff, right there. I didn’t shoot as many photos as last year and the selection seemed to be lacking a little bit. No matter. The cars were still bitchin’ and way out of my league. I still managed to snag some good shots and have a good time.
By the way… the picture above is Nancy’s hand after she got bit by the Harley. She was trying to help me lock up the helmets and she burnt her hand on the engine. Gotta be quick or else they’ll get ya! That’s ok though. She’s fine and there was a cool little scab to pick at for a while.

This is it, folks. The final set of photos from the 2015 Upper Sandusky “Autumn Cruise”. These are my picks as the best of the bunch. The top of the heap. The cream of the crop. Well, maybe they aren’t all the best but some are just favorites of mine and what’s the point of having a blog if I can’t be a little biased towards myself?
There are lots of good shots in here. Some full cars, some details, some interiors. You should know the drill by now. I love color photos of these cars but I’m a real fan of the black and white shots. I wanted to go with B&W so much more when editing all the photos but I had to show some restraint. There’s just something about old cars, the curves, the lines, chrome and adding that black & white look that just gets me. Maybe it just makes it seem even more classic.

I have a few more photos for y’all today. These are still not my picks as the best (one more set before I can unload those) but I do enjoy quite a bit of these shots. I tried to photograph a lot of details at the car show. To me, that’s where the real beauty lies in these autos. I can look up a general image of a vehicle at any time but to see the small details is what really starts to give a vehicle a true character.

I’ve been editing the photos from the Upper Sandusky “Autumn Cruise” for a little while now and I’ve finally been able to finish them all this morning. It was a long process but I think it yielded some really good photos. This set is not that. This is just the first of a few posts and the photos within consist of the “no-so-great” shots first. There’s nothing really bad about them, it’s just not what I felt were the best of the best. Check back for more soon.
I decided to edit a couple extra photos from the car show a few weeks back. Nothing crazy here. Just two shots of a car and bike that are found in the last post. Good stuff though. Check ’em out.
