This July 4th holiday weekend was supposed to be spent on the motorcycle and at the drag races but the weather has made that a non-starter. The drags are dry but it’s wet where I am so that was a no-go. Hopefully the rest of the weekend is a little drier and I get on the bike a bunch. As a consolation I offer these photos from the 2016 Autumn Cruise to the weather gods. Give em a peek and see some pretty stuff. This is the last round of photos so take them in and look ahead to possibly seeing more from later this year.
Well, well well…it has been a VERY long time since I’ve posted any car photos. There are numerous reasons for that: life, motorcycles, jobs, lack of quality computer, and more. I finally fixed one of those reasons when I recently bought myself a newly updated iMac. Lightroom is now running quick and smooth so I’m getting back in the saddle with these photos. Check ’em out and if you like something then give a comment. I’m working on potentially selling some photos from my various car outings. I hope that it can be a small revenue stream that also gets me out and about over the summer. If you are interested in a print then hit me up in the comments or by email/text if you know me personally.
I have a few more photos for y’all today. These are still not my picks as the best (one more set before I can unload those) but I do enjoy quite a bit of these shots. I tried to photograph a lot of details at the car show. To me, that’s where the real beauty lies in these autos. I can look up a general image of a vehicle at any time but to see the small details is what really starts to give a vehicle a true character.
Anyway, check ’em out and stay on the lookout for more tomorrow and Friday.
I’ve been editing the photos from the Upper Sandusky “Autumn Cruise” for a little while now and I’ve finally been able to finish them all this morning. It was a long process but I think it yielded some really good photos. This set is not that. This is just the first of a few posts and the photos within consist of the “no-so-great” shots first. There’s nothing really bad about them, it’s just not what I felt were the best of the best. Check back for more soon.
Vinyl Wednesday comes back at you without much commentary this week. The choice for this week: As I Lay Dying’s 2012 album “Awakened”. Artwork was handled by metastazis and Tiffanie Uldry. It’s got a real killer Art Nouveau look to it all. I very much dig this. Naners and I are both huge fans of Alphonse Mucha and the whole artistic movement so this is definitely an album I wanted in my collection.
As I said before, this week won’t have much commentary so hit the jump and dig deep into the images. Check out all the killer illustrations and amazing typography within this beast.
It’s official. Nancy and I are moving back to Ohio on the 25th of April. We are looking to end up in the Cleveland-area and as of right now we have no place to live. It should be a fun journey and frankly we are both glad to be putting Chicago behind us. I still love parts of the city but I no longer have any desire to live here. I’ve tried it for about 4 years now and we are both ready to just get back to family, friends and driving ourselves around instead of riding buses and trains. I think Nancy feels the same way about a lot of the same, small things. We both want more space and we are just kind of over the living situations here. Time to move on to new adventures!
I was going for a Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies title card kind of vibe with the graphic above. It has a fun, old feel about it so I grunged it up a bit and that was it. Simple, fun stuff. Hit the jump to see a few other options I was working on.
