After I created the new branding for Black Curse Creative I thought it would be nice to work on a fun project with the elements. Obviously I chose buttons/pins. I had designed a couple pins for Kustom Persuasion a few months ago and I enjoyed the quickness of the project so I tried my hand with all of the new goodies I had at my disposal. When I got done designing them all I just had to throw them onto a leather jacket. As good as that was looking it was missing something. I decided that a patch was needed so I went into the archives and grabbed the old logo to add some spice to it all. All sorts of history right there. Wouldn’t you be pumped to see that jacket out there in the wild? I know I would.
Black Curse Creative has a bit of a weird history. The name comes from a band of mine when I was in Ohio. We jammed, wrote some sweet tunes and then kind of split up once I moved. The drummer and bass player also had a kid which made it hard to set some time aside for practicing. I had always liked the name though and as Nancy and I started working together in Chicago we needed a quick name to slap on a project one night and Black Curse Creative was born. That was about two or three years ago and I finally decided that the logo and branding was in need of an update to better reflect us as people and our work.
