I missed out on last week’s post on account of laziness so I’m coming back hard and heavy today. I actually took photos of 4 albums over the weekend so that I’d have no excuse if I don’t edit and post for 4 weeks.
Anyway, back to the goods. World Under Blood is a group that has been around since 2006 but released their first, and only, album Tactical in 2011. Founded by Deron Miller (of CKY fame) on vocals, guitar, bass and keyboards, while the rest of the band consists of Tim Yeung on drums/keyboards, Luke Jaeger on lead guitar and Risha Eryavec on bass (does not appear on the recording). The album falls under the melodic death metal genre but I like to just say it kicks loads of ass. Lots of fast riffs and beats with a bit of melody tossed in. Good stuff if you are into sounds that are fast and heavy.
Last week I completely missed the posting on account of a craziness with life happenings. I was gone every day until it was time to come home and sleep. Not a fun week at all. I’m back to a somewhat normal schedule now so posting can resume.
This is a bit of a weird choice. There’s not any design aspects I really want to get deep into with this release so I’ll just tell you why I bought it. Naners and I were at The Exchange in Elyria and I was just kind of browsing the vinyl selection looking for any true gems. Now, I had NO money to spend because I still wasn’t gainfully employed at the time but that never stops me. Anyway, Nancy ended up finding and buying an excellent copy of Pantera’s Power Metal album and I was just finishing up looking through the 7″ and 10″ records when I found this. She found the gem on our trip and I suppose I got a polished rock.
I’ve had my trusty iPhone 4 since February of 2012 and I really didn’t want to give it up. I love the size, weight and shape of the thing. To me, it’s just about the perfect cell phone. Well, I bought the thing when the iPhone 4s came out so it was already “old” when it reached my hands but this week I finally broke down and got a new phone. I had wanted to upgrade since the iPhone 6 was released but that whole unemployment thing kept me in the digital dark ages.
