I’ve been kind of busy lately between work and motorcycle stuff and, as you may have noticed, I’ve pretty much stopped posting vinyl stuff on here. The reason behind that is because I have been working on a new blog dedicated to just those posts. I’ve been migrating posts over to that site and getting all the workings happening. I’ve even added a few new posts already. I made the move so that it was a bit more freeing. I didn’t want to post just on a certain day or feel like that was ALL that I was posting. I’d like to get this blog back into the realm of life and design.
The image above shows the logo I’ve been working with. I have a few iterations of it and I’m digging them all. It’s got a 70s record label vibe happening and that style is even more prevalent in some of the other designs. Really groovy stuff.
Anyway, I urge you to check out my new vinyl home if you liked what I was doing before. The new site can be found at epochvinyl.com. Let me know if you like it. Hell, let me know if you hate it. I’m cool with either.
After a recent snowfall I had come to realize that I’ve never went out on a winter photo walk while living in Chicago. This seems a bit odd considering it seems like winter is 7 months out of the year but when the cold weather hits and the snow starts falling I really have no desire to go out into the howling winds and low temps once I am warm and cozy. I suppose all photographers feel like that at some point. Anyway, something must have crawled up my butt the other day because I finally ventured out and braved the weather to get some photos.
This is day one of a two-day post of photos from my outing. It’s a lot of the same places I went on my last photo walk during the fall. I wanted to stay close to home and revisit those familiar scenes to see them in a new light. Today’s post features the photos that I liked but didn’t quite “make the cut.” I figured I’d save the best for last and post my set of favorites tomorrow.
I recently bought a new external hard drive just for photos. Had to do it. I had WAY too many files on the old design/photo hard drive and it was just time to get a new one. While trying to bring down the amount of images I have archived I came across this image of some fake flowers in a container. I took this thing probably 3 years ago when visiting my mom one summer weekend. I never did edit the photo but I had an idea for it and finally did it. Simple edit for a simple photo. Nothing special, just something fun to post.
